MS 4100 Thermal Stencil Imprinter

The Model Model MS-4100 On-Demand High Resolution Thermal Stencil Imprinter is a powerful and versatile machine designed for industrial use. This heavy-duty imprinter is capable of imprinting product identification codes onto a wide range of materials, including metal, plastic, and paper.

ON-DEMAND THERMAL ETCHING STENCILS

Millennium Signatures Model 4100 Series On-Demand Thermal Stencil Imprinter is the new modern way to do most of your Electro-Chemical Etch part marking when you require variable data, logos or machine readable codes such as linear, 2D, UID or QR Codes to be created on-demand and deliver a high-resolution etched image onto the conductive metals you need marked.

MARKING DEPTH

The MS-4100 Series On-Demand Thermal Stencil Imprinter is very fast and easy to use producing a far superior on-demand disposable stencil that ever available before.  This stencil product is full of benefits over other similar products which we have listed below with only one limitation, Thermal Stencils are only effective for traditional permanent surface etching.  The stencils produced will give you the highest quality results in a permanent, high resolution, high contrast marking up to a maximum of 0.0025” or 0.064mm.  Beyond this, the stencil is likely to start to deteriorate due to the heat generated by the process and the quality of the marking is likely to decline the longer the cycle and the more power that is applied.

BENEFITS OF THIS MARKING PROCESS

The benefits of using Millennium Signatures’ MS-4100 Series On-Demand Thermal Etching Stencil Imprinter in combination with our TEP-4000 or TEP-4100 Thermal Stencil Paper products are numerous.

 

  • Thermal Etch Stencil Paper as the consumable is less expensive than Impact Papers (Blue & Green emulsion-based papers) used for Deep Etching.
  • There is no peeling involved.  There are two (2) Thermal Stencil Paper products to choose from.  Our TEP-4000 Series is the Stencil Paper itself which feeds straight through the imprinter without any manipulation at all before applying the stencil to the part.  The second is our TEP-4100 Series Thermal Stencil Paper which is mounted to a paper carrier which stiffens the paper during printing and is more effective for use with our Auto Cut-Off Knife which automatically cut your stencils to length for you after printing.  This saves paper and makes the process for efficient for the operator.
  • Our Thermal Etch Stencil Papers are excellent for Radial (arc) Text, Machine Readable Codes, Line-art Imaging (Logos) and very Small Character Generation over any other on-demand disposable stencil printing process.
  • The fact our Thermal Stencil Printing Process does not rely on impact printing means that you no longer lose the center of characters when the paper is old or the printer is not set-up properly or showing wear or malfunctioning.

  • The shelf life of our Thermal Etch Stencil Paper does not expire compared to the emulsion-based Impact Stencil Papers we sell for Deep Etch applications.  Thermal Etch stencil paper is not sensitive to humidity and ultra-violet light sources the way the other papers are.
  • This paper does not change any of the properties of the Electro-Chemical Etching Process.  The way the process works, the permanent, stressless properties that make Chemical Etching desirable and effective on delicate or uniquely shaped surfaces and hardened alloys all remains identical only with better visual results.
  • Markings resulting from our Thermal Etch Stencil product are often mistaken for Galvo Driven Laser Etched Markings, which speaks to the quality of the imaging produced.
  • Our Model MS-4100 Series Thermal Etch Stencil Printers require no consumables outside of the Thermal Stencil Paper itself and are very small and compact at a size of 12.0” Long x 9.0” Wide x 6.5” High, are easy to load with paper and operates silently.
  • All stencils print within a second or two.

AUTOMATIC CUT-OFF KNIFE OPTION

Millennium Signatures’ Model MS-4100 Series Thermal Stencil Imprinter is now standardly sold complete with an automatic cut-off knife that is controlled through the accompanied software.  The paper exits through the cut-off module located at the front of the printer and cleanly cuts the stencil to the length indicated by the operator in the software.  This is not only fast and efficient for the operator, but also saves you on paper over time.  

DEEP ETCH APPLICATIONS

For DEEP ETCH applications as are typically found in the Aerospace Industry, you are best to look to Millennium Signatures’ Model 9400 Series Stencil Imprinters and our Blue or Green emulsion-based Impact Style Stencil Papers such as MS-2100-TF and MS-3100-TF.  These papers are designed to withstand more current and the heat generated from longer marking cycles. When used with the proper selection of equipment and accessories such as Power Units and Hand Markers and more can aid in achieving marking depths anywhere from 0.0001” to .012” when the proper technique and electrolytes are used.
