Entry Level Benchtop Marking Systems

Millennium Signatures’ offers a very high precision Galvo Driven Fibre Laser Marking Solution in BOTH and Integrator Series Compact Class IV format as well as a Fully Enclosed Class I Workstation format packaged to be an excellent introduction to Laser Marking and at a more affordable price point. The LaserGear Systems are designed to be more cost effective without compromising quality or capability. This is done by limiting customization options and are produced in higher volumes making the hardware more readily available and keeping the price point lower.

Class IV Integration Lasers

Integration Lasers are considered to be Laser Sources equipped with field lens assemblies that have all the functionality of Laser Systems, but without the limitations of a full Class I Enclosure, which gives physical and visual protection from the Laser Beam being emitted from the Laser as well as a contained area which serves well for Fume & Particle Extraction.

PRO’s

Among the benefits of Lasers sold in an Integration Style Format, these lasers can be easily mounted in a number of different orientations and you are not limited by the workstation as to the size, shape and weight o the product that the laser is marking.  Additionally, you will not have to wait for a door to manually or automatically open for marts to be loaded and unloaded which will save processing time for those using these lasers to process really high volumes of products.

CON’s

In most cases these lasers will need to be equipped with some guarding that will prevent the operator from coming in physical or visual contact with the beam.  If these lasers are used in a controlled area they can be used by properly trained operators while wearing specific Laser Protective Eyewear geared to the specific kind of laser they are using. This offers a lot of versatility to how the laser is used for marking and will maximize throughput speeds for high volume applications.  Different Jurisdictions and Safety Oversight Groups may have different regulations your expected to follow to comply with what is considered the safe use of this  type of equipment as a Class IV product.  As a guideline, if you do not have a Laser Safety officer appointed within your organization, it  is to best to adhere to ANSI Specification Z136.1 Safe Use of Lasers published by the Laser Institute of America (LIA). This provides guidance for individuals who work with high power Class 3B and Class 4 Lasers.    

Millennium Signatures Marking Systems offers a few different Integration Lasers to chose from.  They range from the most economical which is the LaserGear Qube Laser mentioned in this write-up to more advanced platforms such at the Scorpion Series or the Zetalase Series.

The difference between these lasers comes down mostly to software driving them. The LaserGear Qube operates based on the Minlase Pro SE Software Platform, while the Scorpion Series is based on the Electrox Scriba Platform and the Zetalase product is based on either the Minilase Pro SE or Minilase Pro 3 Software platform.  These lasers are all similar in size and all come in 2 or 3 different maximum output wattages.

Laser Gear BOQX (Class I Workstation Enclosure)

LaserGear BOQX is a Class I Desktop Laser Marking System that combines simplicity with power.  Featuring a 20-Watt MOPA Fibre Laser, BOQX delivers both strength and speed to accomplish a variety of applications.  A front sliding vertical door and power focal height adjustment with a built-in focus finder tool allows for front loading and simple part set-up.

Our LaserGear Systems are made with the same high quality components as the Minilase and Zetalase Series Systems, but they have less physical controls integrated into the hardware providing control through the software and less I/O for more advanced integration with external equipment such as PLC’s, Vision Systems etc. 

Featuring a 20W MOPA fiber laser, BOQX delivers both strength and speed to accomplish a variety of applications. A front-sliding vertical door and power focal height adjustment with a built-in focus finder tool allow for simple front loading and part setup. Simply connect a laptop or desktop PC via USB and begin programming in our Minilase Pro SE software. LaserGear products are manufactured in Chillicothe, OH, USA, using high-quality components and are backed by a 24-month warranty with an industry-leading replacement policy. If your system is down within the first 30 days, simply contact us and we will replace it with a new unit.

Laser Gear Qube (Class IV Integration Laser Format)

The Laser Gear Qube is a highly versatile Class IV MOPA Galvo Driven Fibre Laser that is available in 20-Watt and 60-Watt configurations.  These lasers can be mounted on Power Adjustable Tool Posts and used when with the proper Laser Protective Eyewear can be used as a typical Benchtop Laser giving you pretty much unlimited range of part size, shape and weight that is placed beneath it for marking. These same lasers can also be easily mounted onto assembly lines or special fixturing as required by your applications.

The Laser Gear QUBE is a Class IV Laser Marking System that is ideal for applications where you do not wish to be limited by product size.  There is no workstation to limit the size, shape or orientation of the products you wish to mark.  They are also perfect for applications where you wish to integrate the Laser Marking Process as part of an existing production line.  The LaserGear Qube features a range of MOPA Fibre lasers from 20W to 60W.  The QUBE delivers both strength and speed to accomplish a variety of applications including permanent high-contrast annealed marking of text, graphics, serialization, machine readable codes etc.  These systems also have the power density to achieve deeper marking results when needed.

Integrate QUBE into automated lines for unattended or turnkey applications

The LaserGear Qube is typically supplied with a T-Slot Base + Tool Post to supply manual Z-Axis adjustment for finding focus and an F-Theta Flat Field Lens to determine the marking field size.

Minilase Series

The Minilase Series is a full featured line of Laser Marking Products created to serve clients who desire full featured benchtop laser marking systems.  Minilase products are manufactured in Chillicothe, OH USA using high quality components and are backed by a 36-month warranty with industry leading service and support.

 

Minilase XL (Mid-size Benchtop Marking System)

The Minilase XL is a Class I Laser offering a larger workspace and an open interior for maximum flexibility in a benchtop solution.  In addition, the Minilase XL is equipped with ergonomic features such as the three-sided pneumatic vertical door, power focal height adjustment and auto-mode for high volume applications.  A service override key and safety warning lights allow for open door Class IV marking capability for larger components.  The Minilase XL is also available with a single front sliding manual door.  The Minilase XL features a range of MOPA Fibre lasers from 20W to 60W.  The Minilase XL is capable of being outfitted with our 163L, 254L or 330L Fields lens which can also be changed out later in seconds without the need for any tools if your field size or laser spot size requirements should change.

When equipped with the 163L Lens assembly, the largest standard part size this system will accommodate without utilizing the built-in Class IV override capability would be approx. 508mm Wide x 317mm Long x 252mm High or 20.0” Wide x 12.5” Long x 9.9” High.

Overall System Dimensions are 610mm Wide x 1,079mm Long x 851mm High or 24.0” Wide x 42.5” Long x 33.5” High.   Standard system weight is 91kg or 200lbs.

Please consider that the larger the marking area chosen, the longer the effective focal length will need to be which means that the overall height of the part your system can accommodate will be reduced as the size of the marking area increases.

ZETALASE Series MARKING SYSTEM

The Zetalase Series is a full featured line of Laser Marking Products created to serve clients who desire a full-size system with an expansive work area highly configurable to a variety of applications.  Ideal for the processing of tall and/or large components as well as fixturing.  A front vertical patented safety door maximizes operator ergonomics.  A choice of laser power plus a variety of accessories and customizations provides the ability to solve most applications.  Zetalase products are manufactured in Chillicothe, OH USA using the highest quality components and are backed by a 36-month warranty with industry leading service and support.

 

ZETALASE XL   (Larger Floor Mount Marking System)

The Zetalase XL is a certified CDRH Class I Laser offering a larger workspace and a large open interior for maximum flexibility. In addition, the Zetalase XL is equipped with ergonomic features such as a large pneumatic vertical lift front door with patented safety system, power programmable focal height adjustment and auto-mode for high volume applications.  A service override key and safety warning lights allow for open door Class IV marking capability for larger components. The Zetalase XL features a range of MOPA Fibre lasers from 20W to 100W.  The Zetalase XL is capable of being outfitted with our 163L, 254L, 330L or 420L Fields Lens which can also be changed out later in seconds without the need for any tools if your field size or laser spot size requirements should change.

Millennium Signatures Marking Systems Inc., promotes and quotes their Fibre and CO2 Laser Marking Systems with a High-Performance Galvo Driven Scan Head Technology equipped with an Industry Standard 163mm F-Theta Multi-Element Scan Head Lens Assembly.   However, most of the Galvo Driven Laser Marking Product we offer can have lens easily changed in seconds with out the need for any tools.  The change from one lens to another can affect the performance of the Laser Marking System considerably in terms of Laser Spot Size, Marking Area and the Maximum Part Height a laser may be able to accommodate.

Note:  When selecting a Class I Workstation for your Laser System it is important to know the working distance of a specific lens to determine what he Maximum Part Height you will be able to process with the laser at its optimal focal point.
